AUDITION NOTICE!

The Actors Theater of Orcas Island announces open auditions for the adult comedy production of “Meteor Shower,” written by Steve Martin and directed by Tom Fiscus. The play is a laugh-out-loud adult-themed comedy with sexually suggestive (both straight and same-sex) scenes and language.

Corky and Norm are a somewhat buttoned-up couple (they have clearly been in couples therapy) who have invited new acquaintances, Gerald and Laura, to their home for a meteor shower watch party. However, Gerald and Laura are working a devilish agenda on the unsuspecting couple with hilarious results and a very special twist.

The cast consists of four actors: two men and two women. Ideally, cast members will be in the age range of 30-50, but actors of all ages are encouraged to audition. A copy of the script is available for reading ahead of auditions at the Orcas Island Public Library main desk. Auditions will be held on Dec. 15 and 16, at 7 p.m., at the Grange. There will be nine performances over three weekends beginning March 14 running through March 30.

Anyone with questions or wanting to audition but not able to do so on Dec. 15 or 16, should contact Tom Fiscus at fiscustj@gmail.com or call 360-298-0534, to make a special arrangement.

Melinda Milligan and R. Travis King
October 25, 26, 27 at 7:30pm and matinee on the 27th at 1pm
November 2, 3, 4 at 7:30pm
Melinda Milligan and R. Travis King star in Eric Coble’s two-person play about an elderly woman who threatens to blow up her Brooklyn brownstone apartment rather than be sent to a nursing home. A beautiful and touching play about making the decision to live (and die) exactly the way we want. Directed by Robert Hall.
